“Harry Reid made a statement that is true. Somebody told him. It is a fact,” Pelosi told The Huffington Post in a Sunday interview.
So, Nancy said this is a fact, although, she makes no claim to being privy to this imaginary conversation. But, then, she seems to have a tenuous grasp about what is factual and what isn’t.
“The salience of what Harry Reid is saying is related” to the contents of Romney’s tax plan, Pelosi said. “Here’s a guy who wants you to pay more when I think, ‘I’ meaning Harry Reid, somebody told me he hasn’t even paid his taxes.”
Romney has not proposed tax increases.
I will be the first to acknowledge both sides of the isle have ‘oddities’ amongst their membership. But really democrats? One Reid or Pelosi is enough to counter anything else found on the other side, and you not only double down on crazy, you throw in a Rangel, Maxine Waters, Hank Johnson, Babs Boxer… and the list goes on…
If the press did not have an agenda, they would give zero credibility to what these lunatics say.
I would say that these ….things? creatures? critters? are a product of their constituency, constantly being re-elected to term after term, constantly gaining power, until they are permanently entrenched. Only the most egregously embarrassing scandal (aka Weiner gate or David ‘Tigger” Wu) will drive them from office. Even then, they crawl out of the slime (Cough Eliot Spitzer Cough) with the help of a compliant press.

No, it’s the normal form of furryism. They basically develop an attraction to the plush animals they had as kids, or identify with them.
But what I find strange is that they can’t keep themselves from getting photographed in embarassing situations for the time they hold office. Maybe the wrong priorities.
Well, yeh, look what the reaction to Kennedy’s life-guarding or Franks “home based business”. That either ever got another vote after either one of those events is very telling towards the electorate and the complicit media.
And yet amazingly, if a republican simply wishes and a certain old man happy birthday, or uses the word ‘niggardly’, it is punishable offense.

Yes, the width and breadth of ignorance surrounding that incident was breathtaking. If I had been of the browner variety, I would have taken great offense at people thinking I did not know what that word meant. But the left has no shame…
Frank en Dodd got deleted out of my rant. They both read the tea leaves and retired before they lost in a primary. Frank was an example of a multitude of buried scandals, and Dodd an example of corrupocat on steroids. None could touch Murtha in the house, a truley dispicable low life, who produced more pork for his district than Smithfields produces in a decade, and Byrd, the Grand Wizard of the Demoncrat Party on the Senate side (just about every federal project in WV had his name on it at one point, a King of Pork).
I think that what goes on in getting these morons re-elected, is that most voters don’t even know what is happening in the world. They are happy just to watch stupid reality shows on TV, listen to biased news reports, and never even try to get a balanced view of what is happening. My wife is a perfect example. If I didn’t blow a cork every now and then, and inform her of what these democratic, liberal, progressive imbeciles were doing, she wouldn’t have a clue. Most people don’t want to be bothered. They just want to sit behind their rose colored glasses sipping their mint juleps and pretend that the world will take care of itself. So frustrating sometimes!
It is frustrating. Though I’m as guilty as the next about “blowing a cork”, I find a well reasoned argument, patience and reiteration is usually what brings people around.
But, you’re right, most people don’t want to be bothered. Most people want to believe the people in authority are looking out for our interests.
