A little more than a week after accusing Iran of supplying arms for Syria’s bloody crackdown on democracy-minded rebels, the UN has given Tehran a key seat at negotiations for a global arms treaty.
The stunning appointment by member states attending the UN Conference of the Arms Trade Treaty in New York came last week, and is just the latest example of the world body appointing rogue and repressive regimes to leadership roles. The 15-nation committee to which Iran was appointed hopes to guide what could eventually become the first legally binding global treaty aimed at regulating the international trade of conventional arms.

That is the recurring theme, so what is it they expect to get out of appointing rogue and repressive regimes to leadership roles?
It ensures nothing meaningful will get done. They will continue under the pretext that they are working toward the good, but, in reality, the U.N. is slowly and surely gathering power.
So a consensus in some kind weird democracy by dictators?

That’s only if they voted to make these appointments, and I’m guessing they did, but I could be wrong!
The Chuck Woolery video is great – though I’m glad he put the money for the albino squirrels back. But not for all the other ‘vermin’ in the EPA , dept of education, etc., well, they can just GO !
