Shock News From Team Obama! It's Still Bush's Fault!

The Obama administration is responding to the recent report that shows a federal agency spent more that $800,000 on a lavish conference near Las Vegas by putting some of the blame on the Bush administration.

“At least we have taken, bold, swift forceful action to hold those responsible accountable and put in place protections to make sure this never happened again,” a White House official told Fox News.

The administration also argued Friday night that the cost of the Western Regional Conference increased sharply under the Bush White House — from $93,000 in 2004 to $323,855 in 2006 to $655,025 in 2008, then $840,616 in 2010, or just 28 percent under Obama.

This would almost be a logical argument, if it weren’t for the fact that if $650 thousand was unreasonable, then $850 thousand was that much more unreasonable.  And the fact is, they did not take”swift action”……  nothing would have been done had this not got into the media.  This happened two years ago and, General Services Administrator Martha Johnson and Steven Leeds, senior counselor to the administrator resigned Monday.  But, only after they were told a congressional investigation, headed by Darrell Issa (Republican), was going to take place.

Is there a responsible adult in this administration?  What’s wrong with putting your big boy underroos on and admitting that you screwed up, that you weren’t watching and that you’ve some unscrupulous people working for you and that you’re working to correct it? 

The American populace are a very forgiving people.  But, they are becoming  more and more intolerant of blame shifting excuses.
